Fresh Talent

Roll'em Productions is a company that prides itself as a family owned business that has a lot of talent.   We have photographers, writers and producers in the family and today we'd like to introduce another member.

One of our many nieces is Caylynn.  The video attached to this is one that she wrote, directed and produced as a school project.  Since the creation of this video, she has graduated high school. To fine tune her skills, she started attending a University of California, and we can't be more proud.

Please take a look and see where the future is heading!

Can't wait to see what she produces this year and years to come!

More talent coming soon from one of our nephews!

Content of the future is going to be awesome!

Memorial Day 2015

Today is Memorial Day.  The meaning of this day is haunting me with thoughts of an uncle who’s life was taken such a long time ago that he is a childhood memory.  The trouble is that I did’t get to know him as well as I could have now that I’m an adult.  The details of his life are much more important than his death.  My uncle was a Marine.  He served our country for several years.  As a kid, all I knew was that my uncle was a Marine and was doing fun things in the desert.  I saw pictures of him with his Marine friends and giant spiders.  Spiders are cool when you’re a kid.  I’m not even going to mention the great ice cream insolent of our adolescence.
When he came back from the desert, he was an awesome man.  The kind of man that, even as a kid, I knew he could do anything he set his mind to.  Even though he seemed more dangerous when he got back, I felt more safe around him.  Of course when I say more dangerous, I mean he’s more rough around the edges and not an innocent kid anymore. He was trained to take more risks which mad him much more successful.  I’m grateful for the time he spent as a Marine.  I think that his training and courage influenced me throughout my life.

If you are in the armed forces or used to be, I want you to know that you are an inspiration to people you don’t even know you’re inspiring.  My uncle lived his life influencing and inspiring people to their best. For this, Uncle Mike, I am eternally grateful and will always remember.

Thank you to my cousin Angie for the photo!

Weekend Adventure!

Every year there is this Geocaching Poker Run in the Las Vegas Valley of Nevada.  There was a fantastic spread of caches from the entrance to Mount Charleston to Henderson to Bonny Springs.  For those of you that have never geocached before, here is a tip.

In case you watched it and need a link,  here is the link to http://www.geocaching.com. This event is hosted by Clay4 & whtwolfden and the event can be found at this link http://coord.info/GC5FKGK

There were some tough finds and some easy finds that favor 150 caches joined together to find.  The premise is this:

There are five cards in a poker hand.  In order to get a card for the hand, you must find three caches.  But that's not the tricky part.  For each card, you are given two coordinates.  The third coordinate is hidden in those two coordinates so you must find them both to get the third.  Once you have logged all three, you get a card.  That means you must find a total of 15 caches to have a full poker hand at the end of the day.

On the reverse side of the page with the card coordinates is a list of bonus caches.  If these caches are logged, you get chance to discard some of your original poker hand to try for the win.

All together it took Clay4 and WhtWolfden nine hours to put all the caches around town, but with strategic planing and a determined leader, it took us about six hours to find them all.  One of the bonus caches was so tough, we almost gave up.  The most brave person in the group thought that climbing down a utility hole and crawled down a dark scary passage to make the find from a unique perspective.  Bravo to Itsu_99 for the bravery.  I wouldn't recommend doing from that way.  A little patience and you will get the difficulty four out of five.

If you get a chance, check out an event cache.  You'll meet a lot of fun people.  Just to show some of the people we were with:

This last one is not a person.

Following a Dream

Following your dream can lead you down a path that you may never have thought you'd go.  When you start a business that you are passionate are about, everything seems to come easy.

I remember watching the movie E.T. When I was a kid. I wanted to know how they made that movie look so real. It became my life's passion to figure out how to make a movie.

Traveling down that path was the best thing I could have done. Learning to be creative and finding ways to make an idea become tangible turned out to be a talent that I had. There was another hidden talent that I discovered. I had a talent for networking with people. This means I could build a team of creative people.

Now I have a pool of creative people to make any idea into something real. This is why I encourage you to follow your dreams. If your dream is to run a business, figure out your idea and make it real. If you need help, let me know.

San Diego beach

This was a hoot! Went out to the Torry Pines beach to relax and each the nieces surf. Looking up at the houses just a little bit away from the shore made me realize that it's time to look for a place to buy.

Although this would be a nice place to live here (under the bridge) I'd still like four walls. This is just an example of how beautiful it is to live in this town.

This is not a blog of looking for a house but a blog about presence. Online presence to be precise. If you don't have it and you have a business that thrives based on the number of people that walk through your doors, you're going to want an online presence. Let's go through this together. But first zen!
